The US Army entered an agreement with the United Kingdom to build a base in Newfoundland. They selected Pleasantville to build Fort Pepperrell. The base was active from July 1941 to August 1961. Some of the buildings on the former base are being rehabed into condos. I love the candy-color buildings.
